Think Of Retirement In A New Light

How many of us really spend our days thinking of retirement?  If you own a home, that is exactly what you should be thinking.  It seems that owning a home might lead to a better, more comfortable retirement.  With all the years home owners put into making those mortgage payments, the amount of equity one builds can be quite significant, if they stay in one place long enough.  When retirement comes along, that home can be sold for a profit.  On the other hand, it can also be used for a home equity line of credit to increase their bottom line.  Studies have shown that one's home ranks among one of our most valuable assets.  Besides meeting our basic needs of shelter, it is a resource which can be used to build wealth in one's future.  Perhaps retirement is a topic we not only want to be thinking about but also something we need to be planning.
