Rock Rose Street is the new Sixth Street

By Darla Zeltman

The Domain sits on 303 acres of property located in the high-tech corridor of northwest Austin, TX by loop 1.  This shopping center opened its doors for the first time on March 9, 2007.  The Domain opened a second phase in 2008 and opened its third phase in late 2016.  The Domain contains restaurants, office space, upscale retail stores, apartments and hotels. For many years my family and I have enjoyed the plethora of stores and restaurants in the first two phases of the Domain.  In December of 2016, I was invited to a company party in the third phase of the Domain. The party was hosted at the St. Genevieve on Rock Rose Street.  I was completely blown away by the vibe on this wonderful street.  First of all it is visually stunning.  The builders spared no expense to create an amazing environment that fits perfectly with the Austin vibe.  Rock Rose street is the perfect combination of Cocktail lounges (on the rooftops of upscalerestaurants hosting live music), wonderful sit down restaurants with organic foods, food made from scratch, international foods; to fast food options for those that want to enjoy the vibe without spending too much.  The shops that line Rock Rose appeal to the young enthusiastic crowd but it also houses a wonderful candy store for everyone to enjoy.  Rock Rose provides a fantastic destination for night life for people of all ages. It is a fun, safe place to go with the family, a group of friends, take a special person on a date or just to go out to meet new people.  I have enjoyed taking my friends and relatives to Rock Rose on various evenings and nights this summer.  Everyone has been blown away by the visually stunning street, the fun atmosphere and the wonderful food.  I highly recommend that you take your friendsand family to the Domain this fall.  You will not be disappointed.  I hope to see you out there enjoying this wonderful experience!!
