Have you just moved to Austin?  Maybe visiting family or friends?  Lived here for many years?  No matter how long you have been in Austin, it's always good to check out some of the best local restaurants Austin has to offer...here are some of my favorites (in no Particular order).

Jack Allen’s Kitchen - They have been a top choice of mine for years!  Fresh local farm ingredients only make it to your table.  Make sure and try the bacon wrapped quail, the beef rib quesadillas, or the thick cut ribeye steak complete with a whiskey glaze.  Now with 3 locations in the Austin area, it’s easier to make a reservation.

UCHI – Nationally recognized, UCHI easily makes the list of best restaurants in Austin.  Simply put, excellent food in a fabulous setting.  Be sure to try the Brussel Sprouts or just about any sushi roll.

Hopdoddy – Hungry for a burger?  Try and get there early or be prepared to stand in a long line.  This popular burger joint is an Austin favorite with it’s all organic hormone free angus beef burgers!

Home SlicePizza – In the heart of SoCo district of Austin, this NY style pizza will please even the toughest critic.  Complete with a full bar upstairs and a variety of local draft beers.  Outstanding happy hour on Sunday afternoon.

Perla’s – Seafood in Austin starts and ends at Perla’s.  Oysters on the half shell, gulf snapper, and Texas sized shrimp are some of the reasons this is a must eat.  Outside front patio looks onto South Congress Avenue while being shaded by their towering signature oak tree.
