Hashtag Fix My House

7,257,700..... that is how many times I think the 3 words "Happy New Year"  have opened up a blog post in the last 4 days (which is why I did not open with that but Happy New Year to you and your family!)  $7,257,700 is also the number that I hope to reach in sales at some point this year.  BUT,  before we start talking about sales goals, lets talk about hashtag goals.  That's right,  I have a hashtag goal this year!  It is not a goal to see how many hashtags I can include on one photo in Instagram, it's a hashtag goal to actually learn how to use them to benefit my business, organize my social media posts, and drive traffic to my business page! Did you know that social media posts with hashtags show 12% more engagement than those without?  Did you know there are classes on this?  ME EITHER! But I am excited about it and have found myself recently playing around with numerous hashtags trying to find one that has never been used before (I am super competitive which comes in handy for my clients in the world of real estate).

I'm still working on finding a meaningful hashtag that has never been used before.  In the meantime, my hashtag theme for this year is #FixMyHouse.  This has a few different meanings for me.  The literal meaning-Fix the things in my house that need fixing or updating like my yard, my closets, my spare bedroom, my master bathroom etc.  The figurative meaning- fixing and caring for my health and body so I can be the best version of myself and finally, #FixMyHouse when it comes to the goings on inside my house with my family. In this sense I mean better scheduling, carving out time to intentionally spend with my kids and husband, controlling screen time better, scheduling "me" time, and putting focus on what needs attention most.  Honestly you can put anything in the "Fix My" blank. So while I am shopping for my Hashtagging for Dummies book, I hope that you are 4 solid days into your goals for 2017.  Whatever you do this year, do it well!
