Austin Area Restaurant Of The Week
Dated: November 9 2018
I was blessed this week to be invited out to lunch by a wonderful woman from Kerrville. She was doing some shopping for her business (Hattie Bags, if you haven't heard of them check them out too) in the Wimberely area. She was kind enough to suggest a Dripping Springs location for us meet called Rolling in.. Thyme and Dough. Immediately upon pulling up I knew I would love this place. The atmosphere alone is great. There was plenty of outdoor seating, which I love. The best surprises were waiting inside for us though. The staff was friendly and accommodating from the start. You feel much like walking into a comfy home where you just want to sit and stay awhile. The food is organic and locally sourced. They have plenty of gluten free items. Made from scratch breads and local coffee of all kinds. The desert selection could handle any craving. There were plenty of people inside and out but it was cozy enough to talk and not be distracted by others conversation. If you're nosy like I am, this is a great feature when you are trying to pay attention to the person your talking to. The food came out with in 10 minutes, it was warm and delicious. Its a short drive down 290 and its right off the highway. If you have the opportunity go out there this weekend and try it for yourself. I guarantee you will love it!
