Buy Resale Or Build Your Own
New home construction is usually just as affordable as buying a resale. Which one is best for you?
New Home Construction (To Be Built Home)
With a To Be Built Home the buyer has the option to choose the lot they want and any floorplan the builder offers that will fit on the lot. From there the buyer can choose structural options such as extending the patio, making the master suite larger, adding an office or extra bedroom, etc. For design the options are endless. The buyer can choose flooring, cabinets, countertops, appliances, etc.
Resale homes can be a great option as well. Some buyers want to avoid construction traffic and debris from other construction in the area. Most of the time with a resale home the community has been established and has large trees, established lawns, etc. With a resale the buyer does not have the option to choose what will be in the home. In some cases a remodel is already on the buyers mind so what is in the home currently doesn't matter.
So which home should you choose? Have your Real Estate Agent research the areas and communities you are interested in and decide which one will work best for you and your family.
