One of the many great things about living in Austin are all the festivals!  Soonish the weather will be coolish and it will be time to start enjoying being out during the day again!  Whether you prefer family friendly fests or keeping things to an adult play date only, there are so many options available in the coming months!  These are great for both those new to Austin as well as those who have been here for years!

Bat Fest ATX  -

When – August 19th

Where – Congress Bridge

What – features local musicians, food and drink vendors, fun activities for the kids and a bat costume contest!

Austin Chronical Hot Sauce Festival -

When – August 20th

Where - 2101 Jesse E. Segovia Street Austin, TX

What – expect over 15,000 people and over 350 varieties of sauces as well as live music and fun for the whole family!

Dripping with Taste Festival -

When – September 9th

Where - 1121 DS Ranch Road Dripping Springs, TX

What - sampling of Texas wineries, distilleries, breweries, restaurants, artisans and musicians.

Pecan Street Festival -

WhenSeptember 23rd and 24th

Where - E 6th Street between Brazos Street and I-35

What - live music performances, classic carnival feel with street magicians, dance performances and a petting zoo. festival also offers a wide selection of food options including both traditional fair food as well as healthy options.  There are also hundreds of artisan craft vendors!

Texas Craft Breweries Festival -

When – September 30th

Where - 2100 Jesse E. Segovia Street Austin, TX

What - state’s largest craft beer event focused exclusively on Texas beers

Round Rock Chalk Walk and Arts Festival -

When – October 6th and 7th

Where - 301 W Bagdad St Round Rock, TX

What - Create beautiful murals on the pavement at Centennial Plaza, or watch as artists bring their visions to life with chalk pastels. The outdoor event also features live music and entertainment, street performers, interactive drumming and a variety of fun activities for kids.
