Hurricane Harvey And New Home Construction

Many people may be worried about how the hurricane will impact new home construction build times due to the loss of labor in the Austin Area and Material Suppliers.  My opinion is that it won't impact much at all.  I have contacted several large and small suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors in the area and they assure me that there will be no lost time due to labor or material shortage.   However, certain materials we use in Austin come from Houston!!!  Still no need to worry as I have contacted them as well.  They are a little behind but again assured me that there will be very little delay in material deliveries.  So for any buyers curious about their new home under construction can rest easy.  The only delays I expect to see will be due to rain in Austin.  Foundations are taking longer to pour because of the rain from Hurricane Harvey, and landscaping taking a little longer due to the wet soil.  Austin will continue to grow!!!
